With his new single 'Changes', Aäron Koch dives once more into the tension between melancholy and uncompromising honesty. The song captures that moment — sometimes years down the line — when you realize you simply weren’t right for each other. No hope left for change, no romantic illusions. Just that stark clarity: "We just don't fit at all."
'Changes' took an unexpected path. Initially conceived as a bold, rock-driven track, it was set aside during the album sessions. Later, with fresh perspective and the right energy, Aäron reworked it into one of the most fragile and personal tracks on the album. “Today, it’s actually my favorite song on the record,” he says.
Aäron Koch is a Belgian singer-songwriter from Antwerp whose solo work blends alt-pop, indie rock and Americana. His songs are emotionally charged yet finely detailed, with a lyrical voice that cuts deep. He was a finalist in Humo’s Rock Rally 2024, released his debut singles 'Tired' and 'This House (That I’ve Built)' earlier this year, and supported Belle & Sebastian at a sold-out Ancienne Belgique. His debut solo album is set for release this fall via Unday Records.
