Mauro Pawlowski (Heusden-Zolder, 1971) is a Belgian musician with a relentless drive for reinvention. Known for his boundary-pushing artistry, he has shaped Belgium’s music scene for decades—whether through his own projects or as a sought-after collaborator.
In 2025, Mauro will return with his second solo album Unspectacular Times (Unday Records), a collection of smooth cosmic dance-pop tracks produced by Scorpio Twins (Stephane Misseghers from dEUS and Bruno Coussée from Rheinzand). This follows his acclaimed solo album Eternal Sunday Drive (2022) and an ever-expanding body of work that spans rock, experimental music, theater compositions, and Dutch-language chanson.
He has played with and composed for a staggering range of artists, from theater makers and choreographers to indie legends and jazz pioneers. A (former) member of dEUS, Mauro also fronted projects like Evil Superstars, Gruppo di Pawlowski, and the Maurits Pauwels Band—each showcasing his unpredictable and ever-evolving style.
With Unspectacular Times, he once again proves that reinvention isn’t just an option—it’s the essence of his music.
